Driving in the fog at 2 am a couple of weeks back...i was pulled over by the cops....nearly pooped meself of course, as you do, when you see them following, then the blue lights go on. Turned out my fog light was faulty...giving off white light...
Went to Westovers a couple of days later.....they looked at car straight away and ordered a new light , i went in this morning at 8:30, and it was fixed in an hour....
The car was completely filthy, with country road muck....so they even gave it a free clean while i waited....
efficient, polite and friendly sevice by all....
Added bonus....i had a lovely fry up in the cafe next door while i waited (just came straight from a night shift)....huge plateful and a mug of tea for £3.60  ;D
A young lad arrived at the same time as me with a red A500 np. I did mention that he had a great car  :thumb:  ...is it some one on here...soz i should have asked at the time!

note to self.... do not attempt to contribute to any discussion on engine modification and tuning stuff, remember you know nothing about them.

Westover Sports Cars:  that's where I got my GPA from.  And they are still interested.  Ben keeps in touch regularly about how I am feeling about the car.  What can I say?  I love this car.  I've loved all my cars.  And the GPA especially.  I will be forever grateful to Westover for giving me Ferrari plates.  At the time I bought the car in 2008, they did not have any Abarth plates, so they went for Ferrari ;D.  I'd like a Ferrari of course, but can't quite afford it, so the GPA is the next best thing.  Westover rule.  They are too far away to go for a service and Thames Fiat are now Abarth registered, so I prefer them, as they are 60 miles closer, but Westover did good stuff for me and are still interested, so I like them a lot.

They seem a good car dealer, Ben helped me, there were delays in getting the car, due to .the snow!
But he was great. Not looking forward to the common faults I might get and have to get fixed !!

Have to agree with all the good things people have said about these guys, Ben and Chris have kicked the "customer support" oxymoron right out of the ballpark. 100% customer satisfaction here as nothing has been too much trouble for them.  :thumb:

I was a bit wary when I found out that the car would need to go to the Wallisdown Road site for any warranty work as I have not had good experiences with them when I had my 500 1.3MJT Sport. However, today they had the car in for the airbag software update recall and to find an annoying rattle. Whilst they had it they carried out a free safety service and I was extremely happy that they sorted the rattle. It wasn't any of the normal things like door catches or rear seats not slammed back hard enough but ................... some coins that had fallen down onto the seat runner. So full marks to them and some humble pie for my tea, lol.

Another bunch of love for Ben at Westover!

We bought Abarth number 3 from him earlier this year which went as smoothly as the previous two.

I needed an Abarth related favour as well this week and Ben pulled out all of the stops for us. Very grateful, great work Ben!  :thumb:

Wallisdown Road site for any warranty work - Not so good!!

That is definitely the downside of the operation. Just had my two year service done, which as everyone on here knows (hang head in shame if not) should include a change of brake fluid. I checked when I booked it in that it would be done and (because of previous poor service with my other Fiat 500) I made a point of including a letter to that effect. When I called in to collect it I was told everything had been done and that there was one advisory, Yep! that's right, they told me that I needed to have the brake fluid changed. After not getting anywhere with reception I asked to see the manager and we went over the schedule printout. I indicated the line where it stated; "Brake Fluid to be changed at 36,000, 72,000, 108,000 OR at 24 months" but apparently there is nothing that appears on the VDU schedule that states this. Anyway, in the end I managed to get them to take it back into the workshop and change the fluid but when they tried to charge me another £64 for the priviledge I made enough fuss that resulted in me having it FOC as a goodwill gesture.

At £419.00 there was no way I was paying extra for changing the fluid.

The other strange thing is that according to the computer schedule, the spark plugs have to be changed at 2 years, irrespective of mileage. As it happens my car had just got to 10,300 miles so it would have made it to the third year service before needing them replaced but I had already made up my mind to have them changed early so I avoided that argument. But I did suggest that they get their IT dept to sort these two items into proper order as they obviously don't know the difference between mileage based and time based components.

Westover Sports Cars are excellent, it is such a pity that they cannot share their Lotus workshop with Abarth though.

<edit> Just noticed that they carried out a FREE safety inspection whilst it was there, surely there can't have been anything on that sheet that wasn't covered in the initial service.  ???
