Thanks for the information John , i am really keen to buy a A500 but its getting my head round the car is not yours till its paid for, the biggest problem is i am almost in negative equity with my own car unless i can sort a deal out.

Who was it that told you that as it would be the dealership and not Abarth.

I used it when I bought the mx-5 and had three miserable years with the payments hanging over me whenever they were making redundancies at one of our employers. So I'd only buy a car I could afford without finance these days.

I have never had PCP
on principle
but you find out that if you swap your car regularly then it appears this is the way to do it..
ford and vauxhall have been doing it for years and you have a GFV
so if the value drops then you cant loose..
if it increases then you get more for your car..
Time to reconsider..
but having cash in the bank and no monthly payments is the way to go.

Just going to pick up my new A500 from Rockingham cars next weekend, can't wait. I bought mine on a PCP. They are good as the payments are low and if after 3 years you intend to replace the car then you are not splashing loads out on HP for something you are not going to keep. I have bought several cars on a type of PCP plan with ford, VW and found it is best to put down a low deposit and as all the dealers are desperate to sell in this climate there are loads of low deposit deals. Almost like paying to borrow the car. You can almost get away with dumping your banger on them for the deposit. found the milage doesn't really do much to the repayments unless you are a type of person who worries about a tenner or there. Found 10,000 miles is more than ok. If you want to own the car for more than 3 years it is best to put down a bigger deposit and get the lowest APR as possible on HP, but if you are like me when 3 years come and get the warranty itch and want to renew then i think PCP is the best way. However you pay for it what i have seen of the Abarth so far it is a cracking car, built for smiling in. Have fun.. :)

Picked mine up yesterday that's on pcp, had a ford on pcp before that and wouldn't consider anything else at the moment, its great to swap it regularly and an abarth should touch wood give you a nice deposit at the end of it  :thumb:
