Yes i know on the SMMT press release today it says 158 for October and my post said 157 well i will have a look into where SMMT have got the extra 1 from you could find that next month it swing the other way is my expectation but i will investigate.

Interesting snippet I was sent yesterday: the Fiat 500 appeared in the top 10 sales charts for the first time last month, selling 2,989 units (well up on the 993 sold in October last year), making it the 10th best seller in the UK.

It goes on: "Fiat’s 6,570 sales result for October was 117.5 per cent up on the 3,020 figure for the same period last year, in a market up by 31 per cent."

The BSM effect? I've certainly seen a lot of them.

The Fiat 500 on the YTD position moves from 26 in Sept to 24 in Oct displacing the Merc C-Class and GM's Zafira. The Difference between the Nisan Micra and the Fiat 500 in Sept was 1,435 and in Oct 2,772 although the Nissan Note outsold the Micra by almost 20%.

To put things into context though the Fiat 500 YTD for Oct at 15,869 is less than the October only figure for the GM Corsa at 16,379 so the BSM deal does have some effect but it is private sales on scrappage that have the biggest influence.

Just on Alfa's 693 units for the month 81.53% were Mito's, 12.27% were 159's the other 6.2% is Brera, GT and 147

Obviously the LHD markets did get the A500 earlier than ourselves ie in 2008 but even so the recent launch of the 500C to the UK market first (the biggest convertable market in Europe) shows just how important the UK market is to FGA and to maintain customers bad dealers and bad service need dealing with.

Well its time for November numbers all you statoholics and these show just what a strong market the UK is for FGA i have already illuded to the fact that we have gone past Germany in A500 registrations for the year last month and this months figures are still very strong. In fact over the last 3 months we have registered 507 Abarths far more than the 453 we registered in the 5 months Apl to Aug but things are on the horizon which will reduce the high numbers that have been seen the end of scrappage and the VAT increase.

I have tracked down the missing car from last month it was a Black A500 which failed to come through correctly so her is the revised October figures

RED is the colour in terms of December registrations. AGP's had 62.5% in Red and for A500 it was the equal highest month with 18 in Red and the highest month in % of month registrations.
