I would fear for the paint and stripes on Rory if he went through that, nothing wrong with a nice gentle sponge and rub you know  ;)

Just finished taking all four wheels off Luigi, giving them a go over with Wonder Wheels and looking spanking new again!  :)

See your not getting your hands dirty there Sarah.  :P

Car washes here in Germany are amazing. Take your pick: A modern self service or one at the Shell or Aral or Total. All are good and in the winter I tend to let the machines do the work, including the good underbody wash at Aral. Keeps the salt off and minimizes corrosion on certain metals. There is no need to fear petrol station washes here.

You see everything from my Abarth to a new 911 using the Aral near my place here in Stuttgart. I cant believe car wash science in the UK would be less. Im paranoid about machine wash and certainly prefer hand washing of course. Here in Germany one does not need to fear the modern automated systems available.

That being said the weather is excellent now and for the next week or so. Ive washed the car this evening and will be doing a full detail to keep winter's effects at bay. I checked the UK weather as well, looks good so get out there and clean em up  :) Cheers from Stuttgart!  Dave

DanDey,

Yes plenty of the 500's about not too many Abarths yet. Good overall as people don't seem to bored with it, like say the Cooper(fine machine that I have owned!). Today was great here and I finished a thorough detailing! Chrome exhaust tips are tip top! Leather has been treated, windows cleaned, front and rear windows Rain-x'd to repel the rain and snow! Glad we have a break in the very tough winter weather to keep the machines happy :)

Hope Rory appreciates the fine care you can provide soon!
