SS owners

did you know that the BMC air filter is cleanable. it doesn't need replacing at each service.

worth knowing if you're going to get charged for a new one at £50 plus fitting as part of the 18000 0r 36000 mile service :thumb:

official cleaning kit is 20 quid including delivery or you can really save the pennies by washing it with fairy liquid and re-oiling it with your own favorite oil

It's part of the service check sheet to first check if it is a BMC filter and then to clean it instead of replacing if the BMC is present :thumb:

My dealer was hard work. they insisted that it needed changing every service even though I showed them proof that it says every 2 years on the box, they kept charging me for it when it was serviced. everytime I complained i didnt get anywhere, Even after speaking to various people.
