An interesting read for anyone interested in a side-by-side comparison... I'll let you find out how the A500 SS fared vs. it's arguably more burly peers.

The eagle-eyed amongst you will also recognise the SS in this road test as belonging to a certain gentleman member of this very Forum...

........yes it was me with S55OOA down in Paris, back at beginning of the year....lots about it elsewhere in Forum.

Keep eagle eyes out for four pages in the current edition of TrackDriver all about development of the GAZ shocks and springs on S55OOA. Article is headed 'A Shocking Story'!

also for those who are interested see 'ABARTH 500esseesse at Brands Hatch' on YouTube when we did the runs for TrackDriver

Mini - good, but like common as much, so again a NO

Red A500 SS, Monza exhaust, black leather, white mirrors, Koni FSDs. Not sure what happens under the bonnet but the car still keeps me smiling......must avoid the technical engine-type posts...

TrackDriver is bi monthly and your subscription starts with the one after you sign up. I believe edition 2 is in the post or just about to be...I havent got mine yet... be patient it should be with you soon and I believe the wait will be worth it.

Don't care who wins but overall the Abarth wins for me. Probably would of put the Clio 2nd since I almost bought one but really like the DS3 so it would come second. Mini last because it's so bland and predictable. On a 2 minute stretch of driving in Aberdeen this morning I saw 5 Cooper S's, yawn!

Mini's are a pig to wash as well, wife had a mini (std cooper) and you would wask it and leather it off and 5 seconds later water would run out of all the trim, wipe down, 5 seconds, wipe, wait, wipe... nightmare!
