I've made this thread so people can post how much they have paid for servicing and at what garage. This will help people choose where to get their servicing done.
So if you could post something like this.
I drive an AGP 1st (12months) service in December 2009 at Lipscombe it cost me £5.99 I thought they were really good there, they even gave me an icecream.
(that's totally fictional, obv)
Please keep replies in the above format, discussions of the actual costs work done etc should be kept in the General or Model sections. - Thanks olopboy

Drive an AGP 1st (18,000 mile) service in July 2009 at Westover in Poole it cost me £288.58 (including 15% VAT) Picked it up from my work and dropped it back off at my work. It took 3-4 days to do though, as they forgot to order the spark plugs in.

Couldn't find a service cost thread in the 500 section, so I'm asking this here! (split/merge in necessary)
Does anybody know the difference between an oil and filter change and a 1st service? I've been quoted nearly £400 for a first service, but an oil and filter change should cost around a quarter of that. So besides oil/filter, what else do they do to the Abarth to warrant the extra £300? Anybody know?

speaking from the AGP angle here , i haven,t seen a 500 service book
its worth sitting down with a clear head and reading the book, service is 18000 miles but if you do less than 10000 miles per year you need oil and filter after 1 year, doesn,t mention low mileage service.
however, as the warranty is dependant on the car being serviced according to the manufacturers schedule then this is what you need to do
its a bit illogical when you think about it, if you do 12000 in a year for example you keep going till 18000 and then have the service.
the 18000 mile service includes oil. filter, spark plugs and 1.85 hours of labour. the plugs aren,t cheap, about £60 a set so the £ 280 all in mentioned earlier is possible depending on labour rates.
i think some dealers recconmend over servicing, and i suspect that some are getting their fiat and abarth service requirements mixed up
now this thread is further from its original aim but hope its helpful

Had my first service on my A500 on wednesday at Westover in Poole,
It was the low mileage service (under 10k) and cost £161
Parts included: Selenia Oil Oil Filter Sealing Gasket Air Filter (£56 in parts)
Previous to this I had an oil and filter change there at 5,500miles which cost £69.

I wouldn't mind paying that at all. If i've done 15,000 miles after 1 year, is that a low mileage service?

Abarth sevice costs, as previously discussed are tantamount to theft, more expensive 'luxury ' cars are cheaper to service, its a disgrace and does nothing to promote brand loyalty.
