Finally had a proper stare today!  Stopped at lights, Alfa Mito pulls up next to me, after a minute I realise everyone's staring across at me!  Then out come the camera phones!

Had lots of looks today too, whilst i was parked, a bunch of 3 men (in their late 20's early 30's) walked in the opposite direction, every 10 seconds or so they would glance back at the car and smile, right up till the end of the street!  Thumb Up

Stopped at the local garage yesterday, and before I even got out of my car a little old lady came up and said "That's a lovely car, what is it?" So we ended up having a little chat. She was old enough to be my gran, though!

One in each of the 500s this week:

In the F500 woman parked next to me said "I want one of those, its so gorgeous"

The A500's turn today, paying for my car park ticket the guy in front (even older than me!) asked "is it as much fun as they say?". I said "no, its much more fun than that". Started telling me he was an Abarth owner way back when and how it was a shame that supply on the new ones seems restricted

Best comment I've ever heard from an admirer of my current car was from a rather shy looking, and actually quite nice looking, teenage lad. I'm not quite old enough to be his mother but getting on that way. It went like this, "can I just say, you look absolutely gorgeous in that car". Just for once, I really was lost for words! I dread to think what the A500 is going to lead to given this thread...... Shocked

I had a great 'stare' the other day.  Stopped at some lights I happened to look left.  The driver of a white van had his face pressed against his window peering intensely into my car!!  I just smiled, gave him the thumbs up and he gave the thumbs up back.....then I shot away from the lights leaving him suitably impressed.

I was at a McD's this afternonn. A guy in an ex-Cardiff council Sherpa shot into the space next to me at an alarming rate of knots.
He carefully climbed out with his son being careful not to damage my door and spent a little while looking at the Abarth sticker.
Then he came round to my side, tapped on the window and gushed about the car for about 5 minutes.
I still find it nice to tell people al about it.
