wheel repair
« on: March 12, 2010, 07:55:04 PM »
i scuffed one of my standard AGP alloys when the car was a day old, over a year later and i haven,t hit a kerb again so today i got the local wheel wizard to call round.

about 3 - 4 inches of the rim was gouged down to the metal. the guy was very honest and said he couldn,t get an invisible repair but he could give me a smooth polished surface, only problem would be a line at each end of the repair where the new laquer met the old.

said i didn,t have to pay if it wasn,t as he described.

got him to do it and it is just as he said, slight visible join in the laquer but better than the gouges and no worries about moisture getting under the rest of the finish.

£25, took about an hour.

good bloke, really keen on his work, highly reccomended, got his number if anyone needs it, based in doncaster

Hi lloyd,

This is good to know, you say he is based in Doncaster, how long is his turnaround as our cars do not come with 'spare' wheels?
