Just had a call from Kevin at Rockingham, my car is BUILT  and in transit! Might get away with the VAT yet  Not sure which boat it will be on though  |

Excellent News i told you Tychy was an efficient plant! Now did Kevin say that it was status 30 or 20?? If it is a 30 then it could well be that you might be able to join us all at Duxford. Anyway Kevin in theory should be able to give you an expected arrival date at Portbury now and from that you should by following this thread be able to work out which boat it is going to be on or just ask him to contact you when it goes status 35.
If you look at my response to Lagerlout (another GTC regular) on sheet 8 of this thread it gives pretty much the same advice)
I will now attempt to do you latest GTC a lack of taste you say let me try and work that one out!!!
Oh and top colour choice for you A500 it would appear you are a traditionalist like myself.

When did you order ?
27th August!! But my order was complicated by being a LHD but otherwise UK spec car, I just like sitting on the left. Took more than a while and a little help from Abarth UK to get the factory to "accept the order". In fact it was only 3 or 4 weeks ago they finally did so and gave us an order number - and it went straight to the "can't change the spec" status at that point. So someone must have found a vacant slot and made it happen Delaney Kevin didn't give the status, I'll drop him an email and see if I can find if its 20 or 30. Would love to come to Duxford if I have the car in time to meet the deadline, obviously I've held off so far in case it doesn't get here Gone for the traditional colours alright, despite hating the grey when I first saw one. But I also hated the Cha Cha Cha Azure (baby blue) that is my F500, so much so I had the red stripes fitted to "de-girly" it. Now I love it and the grey has grown on me. Rockingham will be applying the full Assetto Corse decal kit - red stripes, black sunstrip, "49" roundels and white Abarth script on front grille so I can tell its mine and not the neighbours! |

That is excellent news i don't know how todays weather might have affected things. Anyway it would be great to see you at Duxford at the end of Jan with many other of Clares happy customers.

Just to bring things upto date quickly as we had an extra ship Grand Benelux showing on last wednesdays update.
Tuesday 22 Dec Grande Detroit in from Antwerp was down for Sat 19 then Mon 21
it will be in late tonight 21 early Tue 22 Berth 4
Tuesday 22 Dec Grand Benelux in from Antwerp will be late Tue 22 early Wed 23 this
is the Extra ship
So as you can see from above lots of cars at Portbury over the next couple of days and if your waiting for an A500 or a F500C then these could be your boats.
Friday 25 Dec Grande Sicilia in from Antwerp was down for Wed 23 it will be late
in 24th early 25th
The rest of the schedule is unchanged.
One quick point tracking on marinetraffic does not appear to be fully up to date on certain ships.

Just to update 21:00 Wednesday 23rd Dec
Grande Detroit is just about to depart from Berth 4 was due out at 20:30
Grand Benelux is anchored waiting to go into Berth 4 as soon as Grande Detroit has gone.
Now the Grande Sicilia is currently in dock at Antwerp but is missing off the Portbury Schedule i am unable to determi quite why that is. The Grande Portogallo also due in from Antwerp is still OK for Monday 28th.

Missed all the fun of tracking my ship, watching the weather forecasts and praying it didn't sink - have been informed my car is in the UK!
Maybe only a couple of weeks to wait now till I can collect?

Excellent news i'm sure that your Christmas will be very enjoyable knowing it is in the UK and avoiding the VAT hike.
As you will have seen Portbury is very very busy with ships in from Antwerp with 500's on so now it is just the wait for the transporter from Bristol up to Corby.

My car arrived at Rockingham today PDI in progress, EsseEsse kit being fitted tomorrow Will pick up on 12th Jan assuming no issues with registration and getting private plate put on it |

Excellent news i trust that there is not to much snow on Tuesday.
Given that I have to drag my scrappage car up to Rockingham on a trailer (because its a "proper" scrappage car - ie all but dead), Tuesday might get postponed. Can't go towing in this kind of weather. Can barely even get out of my own driveway at the moment. Will make the decision on Monday - don't want my new A500SS falling off the trailer on the way home, after all |
