Aftermarket Airfilter
« on: September 08, 2011, 03:13:01 PM »
Is anyone using an aftermarket airfilter or would the one from the AGP SS be the best one to go for?

Much of a muchness really. Got the BMC in my wifes A500 and just bought a BMC for MY EVO.
BMC filter is used in SS kit, that's my only reason for using it really, either will work the same.

I have Itg in mine Kevo opted for Bmc . Both do the same job just personal preference i guess. Many go for Bmc as its an original Abarth part.

Do you get any difference in power/noise?

You get a weird wastegate chatter in the EVO and the phsssst noise from the dump valve is more
prevalent, more phsssst is good ;D. The chatter put me off at first and i took it out, as Darron explained there is more airflow hence the noise, now putting it back :thumb:. Dont think you get this with the AGP though. Cant say i notice any performance gains, but every little helps.

Avoid the Forge induction kit, not really worth the money. The one I had on mine snapped the mounting bracket and blew a fole in the filter cone, in the end I swapped it back to the original air box.
