Didnt do it for a performance gain

Wow nice work everyone, didn't realise this was a comedy club. Nothing like a constructive conversation...

Where did I state I did not do this for a performance gain? And why are you lot taking the p*ss?

I modified the airbox by drilling holes in it to allow more airflow. It was more of an experiment as I have every intention of comepletely over hauling the induction system at some point. Is this too uncouth for some people?

Just remov the filture altogether it sounds mental then.

I have not done this mod because im lazy lol but have seen it done in the past. Refered to as front garden or council estate modding.

Russ did it impove the noise much as the evo does need more noise as it just to quiet for me. Was it just infection noise or dump noise improve to???

This saves weight to lol

But you need a filter before turbo though? Or would you use a mesh like filter to cover over the hole?

Yes it did improve the sound. You can hear the dump valve a lot more now and it sounds a bit more aggressive under acceleration. Def wouldn't recommend running it without a filter as your gonna kill your turbo/ engine real quick. Imagine the damage a stone will do when sucked into your turbo! No doubt it will sound the nuts though.
