Pop Off mod to GPA
« on: September 19, 2011, 03:29:28 PM »
there seems to be multiple threads on how to do the 'pop off' mod to 500's but none to the AGP unless im looking in the wrong corners! Has anyone done this? If so, would you be kind enough to post a guide for me and hopefully others to benefit from ( Unless im the only dippy one here! )

Thank youu!  :thumb:

The filters can damage the car or dv or the mod?  ??? And also, just a little off topic Daron, I set my box to 8 and no limp mode, Then set it to 9 just to see and still no limp mode. Will it damage my car if I were to leave it in mode '9' ?

A member here had on-going problems with his car and after many hours diagnosing and replacing parts it turned out the dump valve was the cause. I would not set mine above 7, it may start to close the throttle and reduce power.

No damage the car just wasn't running right, misfiring and not boosting properly and the pop off valve was the cause.

Id heard mixed reviews and opinions on the BMC mod which is why I went with the Forge item which uses a solnoid, sadly the plug it uses to keep the ECU happy is the same plug that the TMC and G-Tech plug-in tuning boxes use :( Nevermind

Hello Daron,

Can you explain a little better that stuff with the pop off mod? I have mine with that mod...like the pffff  ;Dand I have the BMC CDA, wich tell in the instructions to install the pop-off mod (and turn off the re-circulating air hoses). Do you thing is better to leave that hoses connected, and not installing the pop-off? After all that air instead of going back to the turbo e going into the atmosphere, but the car seems quicker, I dunno?

What do you think?  I also have the TMC box, so maybe he needs more air?

Best Regards
