sorry i spoke to them on the phone thats when they said about valeting cars. also noticed it said the evo was called Punto Evo Abarth so its called P.E.A for short shame they dont do a green colour like ford

Probably a mis-understanding with their marketing department, its definately the Abarth Punto Evo.
You wouldn't describe a Fiesta as a Fiesta Zetec Ford would you Roll Eyes

...but the handbooks and bumpf that came with my car do say 'Grande Punto Abarth' rather than 'Abarth Grande Punto', so I wouldn't be too surprised.  Another foible to accept with an Italian car purchase  Grin

Quite a few more photos released by the press office today, but nothing really new other than this better shot of the sport switch:

What an odd looking thing that is!?!?  Still, no worse than the 'Halford-esque' Sport switch on the outgoing model I guess.

Better placement of the USB port from an accessibility point of view, but how long before your iPod connection and Blue&Me gubbins starts annoyingly fouling the gearshift?

Abarth Punto Evo is available to order now with prices starting from £16500.
The first demo cars should be with us either the last week of this month or the first week of next month Thumb Up

Why does the Evo emit 142g/km at 165bhp and cost £125 ved
while the same engine in the Cloverleaf Mito emits 139g/km at 170bhp and cost less £110 ved.

Apparently the 1.4 multiair engine has been worked on by the Abarth engineers Thumb Down.  I say just take the engines from the Alfa Romeo line and let the Abarth lot have a rest Whistle

You are right about the figures but dont be blinded by the BHP figure.
Although the bhp is down by 5 on the Abarth, the torque curve is better on the Abarth than the Mito Thumb Up

As you say John, Bhp figures are not important.  It's the increased emissions and subsequent raise in ved level. Thumb Down

No official details released yet, other than it's expected to bring output to 180 hp.
