Why would anyone now want to add the ss kit for an extra 15bhp!

As the old saying goes, Its Torque that wins races, BHP is only to sell cars Thumb Up

I sat in the EVO today (had to get in it quick before I was sick) and  I have to say I really really like the cupholder. It looks like it might actually take a cup....

Still wont buy one though. Wheres the nearest Ford garage?

The Cloverleaf Mito has the same 170BHP Multiair engine and its just as good as the Esseesse 180 GP Abarth is now, the Evo should be better with the different tuning. Also I have herd the Esseesse Evo should be 200Bhp or there abouts but thats not comfirmed yet. Cant wait to drive it at the begining of June  Grin

Official press release (as shown in the OP) states the SS will produce 180bhp, but it supposedly does great things to the torque profile.

Note this last bit has not be confirmed from any official source it was just a chat with my dealer as to why the kit produced a relatively small amount of extra bhp, but they did say it had 180 bhp.

edit for clarification of source material

I can confirm that it is 180BHP and that the emphasis is on the torque the translation of the Italian is that Evo Esseesse will be 'immediately available to throw(lancio) you and represents a further step in the empowerment of this model. I think you get the jist it is all about the immediacy of power delivery i guess in English 'project forward' might be more likely to be seen than 'throw'.

It is with cross drilled vented discs 'Powered by BMC' air filter and 18" Rims in white or titanium.

I hope this is of some help

Is this going to cost much more than the current AGP?

I quite like the look of the APE, I think the rear looks great with the way the lights are arranged and it looks pretty mean.

Ive seen the pics... it looks fab from the side, great inside... but it it just so hideous at the front.... They really have sppoiled a fine looking car  Thumb Down

The Mito is a minger too, thats why I never bought one of them. Its such a shame cos I love my Italian cars... but I think the Fiesta is the best looking car n this sector now

The new fiesta looks too much like a toy, and the inside is quite plasticky. Its OK but I would pick a Mito any day of the week over the new fiesta, plus its fairly underpowered and not even the mountune upgrade can save it.

Now the old fiesta ST is pretty decent, it looks a bit like a mini me focus. I'd easily choose a fiesta st over a Mito.

But the Ibiza Cupra is better looking than both and I'm waiting with bated breath to see what the new Polo GTI will be like, and I'm also quite excited about the new DS3 R. There are plenty of amazing cars in this sector at the moment and it seems to be an incredibly competitive market, but I don't think that many match the abarth's in terms of character (except maybe the DS3 R.) The current AGP is a bit more sedate and when I first saw them I thought they were a bit boring but the design is more curved and slightly more classical, it definately looks like an Italian car. The Evo, looks like it is going after a more modern market, and it is more agressive looking, but I still think its a nice looking car. Its only really th front grill that most people don't like but that looks to be exagerated in the publicity photo's and it looks a bit more understated in the other pics posted in this thread.

I cant put the Ford down because we sell that as well.
Quote from a long standing Ford salesperson on the staff, Drove my AGP Esse Esse through some quite challenging corners and was heard to say "now I know what all the fuss is about"
