Have noticed in the dealers they seem to have high spec versions on show with quite a large price tag probably would be best to have a low spec version with the lowest price on display too. I did see an A500C with a £20k price tag other day  :o

I still think even the basic price is high considering a saw a car just other a week ago which goes on sale end of this week which is starting at £15k and thats with 180bhp, flappy paddle gear box or whatever it is.

Yes I think the front is horrible too on the evo even when it's colour matches the rest of the car and don't know why they put they bit of leather over the dial cover for that to work they need more leather inside as it looks like the owner has put that on themselves and not thought about the design too make up for the lack of leather.

It's just the little things like this which let it down for me but it is probably is a fantastic car to drive.
AGP scorpian black, custom quad exhaust, carbon fibre wrapped bonnet, spoiler and centre console, forge intercooler, induction kit, boost hoses,TMC tuned, eibach sportlines.

I was surprised by the lack of leather inside too... especially as the current model has loads.
Oh, and if you've driven a current AGP it feels pretty much identical.

Is it really leather?  Feels and looks like a type of soft plastic to me.

Shame if they haven't seriously improved the handling, steering etc over the AGP.

My AGP has leather - I assumed it was standard?
Also I find the handling of my AGP to be superior to most other models in it's class (clio, mini, golf etc)... ?

I'm sorry but a Renaultsport Clio will outhandle an AGP on any kind of road. I love my AGP but the handling does leave a little to be desired.

Nope leather seats where an option, nice comfy velour seats otherwise  8)

The leather dash covering iirc was unique to UK cars, EU cars had something else can't remember if it was body coloured or white plastic on them.

I guess it's a personal thing - I test drove a clio cup before I bought the AGP and I preferred the Punto...

I think (even as a AGP lover) that nobody has ever commented that the SP has superior steering or handling... especially the CLIO which is widly regarded as being THE best sporting hatch.

that maybe true, but renault in my experience don't have the best build quality and after car service alot to be desired  ::)

I think after 22 pages this has now run its course.

Further discussion about the Evo can now be had in the Abarth Punto Evo section.
