Hi Just wondered what the differences are between the early and later AGP's. Am I right in thinking the later ones had 'lane change indicators' and 'auto hazzard lights when hard braking thingy' Anything else? Also, what build date did these changes come into effect? THANK YOU

the phase 2 key ring is like a 500 key ring, have a look at the key covers on the shop section of the forum, same shape, yours will be squarer.
the hazard thing is a pain, your better off without it, but the lane change is neat, ideally i,d have one and not the other.
best thing about new key is that you can get a red and white cover to match the car

mines the second "phase" also.... its not the keyring thats differnt, its the actual key itself, hawk, yours is square as its a first model, everyone else has a round key is they have a second issue car. the only other changes are the hazards flashing under heavy braking and the lane change indicators. apart from that there identical. infact you've got the more robust key! (hawk).... its the same as my 07 plate fiat mjet and it was a lot better built than the new issue. infact Lloyd already has broke his key!

The hazzards flashing under breaking is a real pain. You haven't got be be breaking hugely hard, and then you hear it, that annoying ticka-ticka-ticka-ticka. They should change it to make the break lights flash like they do on the newer Mercs, makes much more sence in my mind.
The lane change is a good idea, i quite like that, but sometimes in my car when the indicator auto cancels, it can flick so hard off, that it catches the lane changing bit, and suddenly i'm giving 3 flashes the other way.

Thanks for the replies and info Does anyone know the date when the factory changed from building phase one to phase two models? I only got my new AGP 4 weeks ago and was surprised it was a phase one model. Maybe it's been hiding away somewhere

strange, same as im-mia,s but his is a phase 2 and registered last year, yours must have been hiding somewhere!
if you get the primed mirror caps shouldn,t be too difficult to do them with a touch up spray, one can should do them for a tenner

Very strange. Got mine mid March, dealer already had it in, told me it had been delivered 'about' 2 weeks before. Think i've been fibbed to! Also told me it was definately the later model. I didn't know about the differences then or I would have questioned his information. Not overly happy about it, looks like my car has been sitting about for several months

if he told you it was later model then that is what you paid for and what you should have, however, you havent got the irritating hazard light thing and the key is no big deal
enjoy the car for what it is, but i would have my doubts about the dealer as regards hinesty and future service

Nothing wrong with a series 1 I agree with Lloyd, if you asked then you should have been told but most new cars "sit around" for a while before you take delivery. Enjoy it, you've still bought a damn good car
