I didn't realise you could just get them updated. How much does he charge you to update it and what are the improved specs e.g. torque, bhp

it will just cost you the postage, don,t know the new numbers but you can feel (and hear) the difference Thumb Up

Come into a little bit of a "race" with a Clio 197 abiding to the speed limits of course  Whistle and was quite surprised how much quicker my car was. Through the corners I felt I could turn in quicker and keep to a tighter line and on the straights in every gear I had to let off. His girlfriend didn't look too impressed after his snobbery looking up and down of my car. That's 1 to the Abarths and 0 to the Renault's.  Thumb Up

no offence mate but that must be more down to the driver.... the clio is a LOT better handling car than the AGP, however with the tmc box even the standard car is quicker in a straight line

Well just goes to show, having a better handling car doesn't always make you quicker  Grin

send your tmc box to daron and he will update it. mine  was done last week and the noise it makes is addictive, does mean you keep flooring it and lifting off just for fun Grin

Just got my tuning box back and I think it's a little quicker but the noise doesn't seem to of changed like yours. Do you have any other mods that could be making the noise i.e. custom exhaust etc?

nope, totally standard apart from the tmc box. it started on a fast A road on the welsh trip, i could recreate the noise over and over. since then theres only one road around home where i seem to be able to get the revs and speed right though Thumb Up

in 3rd accelerate hard and with it pulling hard  at 3500 to 4500 rpm lift off sharply, theres a whoosh and sometimes a thud from the exhaust, discovered it by accident but its addictive Grin

Hi all,

I know this may be slightly off topic, but how badly does the TMC box affect Insurance and will it make an improvement to the standard AGP (non SS)?  Thanks all.

At the end of the day its up to you whether or not you mention the tuning box to your insurer and each insurer will be different and yes it definately will improve the standard AGP it will bring it from 155bhp to 180bhp so the same as the SS without the box also brings the torque upto 280nm film out the form and have a look

Will it be safe in a standard AGP as I know the SS has the other mods like the drilled disks and stuff done to the brakes etc.  I have the Ibach springs but will not having the brake and disk changes make the AGP less safe with a TMC fitted?
