i created the video so that i could email it to my dealer instead of driving the 120 mile round trip, because when i got there last time it stopped doing it as it had been driven for 60 miles! sods law! lol
After speaking to the service dept earlier, they told me about the alternator freezing due to the water from the scuttle tray dripping onto it, which is causing the belt to skip and not grip. And that there is a mod for it, as mentioned in this thread.
Unfortunatly they havnt seen it yet, as they couldnt receive the video file because i was too big (over 10mb), so i had a smart idea and decided to post it on youtube, but guess what? they cant access it from work! lol So its taken me all day to find somthing to compress it to below 10mb! eventually did it and emailed them it, will call them tommorow to see if they have had a look at it.
I have to admit, its a pretty annoying noise, especially when you are driving around at low speeds in car parks and everyone looks at you! haha
I really dont want to take the car in though, because i really dont want to be driving a 1.2 punto around, especially with how far away the place is! wouldnt mind a like for like curtesy car!
