Anyone else getting a low frequency vibration when accellerating?

Especially in 1st starting off at low revs and in 3rd at low revs.

Can feel the vibration through the car, steering wheel, and gear stick if I hold it.  It feels to me like clutch or gearbox, but not enough I'm sure that a dealer would admit to there being a problem.

I don't ride the clutch, or go over 5k revs (usually not over 4k) as my journey is 90% motorway in 6th at 50 - 70.

 Huh?

Hmmm, can't say I do. From you pic - it's an SS? What's the age and milleage? It could well be a clutch issue - I've been reading on italian gpabarthforum about some cars having it and others not, even on standard GPA models (not SS)...be persistant with your dealer!

Oh, and btw - is there any noticeable slipping? Slipping is most likely to occur when driving at low revs and higher speeds and accelerating (4th, 5th or 6th gear)...
Good luck on resolving!

Get your dealer to check the chassis number. The very early G.P.'s needed an uprated clutch when they were esse esse'd.
Yours may fall into that catagorie and may have been missed.

No-one seems to be able to feel it, but it's definitely there.  Sad

I can sometimes feel it but its after a long drive. I mean inverness to nuneaton sort of distance. lasts for maybe 30 mins the next day after the engine has stopped overnight.

I suspect sticky clutch release bearing, but without getting a mechanic to feel the vibration I'm stuck with the problem.
