First little niggle
« on: July 27, 2009, 05:15:19 PM »
After owning my AGP for two weeks , I took wife out for a drive ,and as we past 50mph and with no music on , she commented on wind noise coming from the passenger side door. None was coming from my(the drivers) side and to be honest I could hear the noise coming from her side. On the return journey I let her take the wheel to see if I could locate  the source. I seem to of narrowed it down to just by the very front of the upright on the window.
Has anybody else suffered similar problem or are my wife and I being picky ??

I have the same problem. It's been checked and I've been told that there is nothing wrong with the way the door has been fitted.

It's annoying to have an issue so soon, will you be covering your tatoo if the issue is not solved? (a la Katie and Peter).

Joking aside, I am sure John will get his guys to have a good look at it for you. (The car, not the tattoo)

It's not the end of the world as far as I'm concerned. I'd kick up if it was something serious. Besides it's a Fiat, not a Lexus.

Tyre roar from the original tyres was much more of a problem.

Has yours always done it? I didn't notice at Stanford. Then again.. there were other things to be listening to,

Yes.

The run you had wouldn't have shown the problem anyway. It was drowned by exhaust/induction roar as you say.

It's noticeable at constant speed.

Not noticed the wind noise on ours, but then again i was more concerned with the creaking noise we could hear at the rear (not door locks as they had already been checked) & the water filling up in the rear footwell, had it checked out & apparently the bulkhead needed re sealing, so new carpet & underlay after 8 months, great - Not.

Will listen out for the wind tho just incase :)

thats what made us notice, it had been raining really heavy around 16/17th july, we had been away for 3 days & came back to water. check in that little sliding bit in drivers footwell under mat, if its dry in there you should be fine, ours wasn't :)
