gpa power outputs?
« on: January 23, 2009, 04:23:36 PM »
Speaking to some dealers and friends in italy speculation is that abarth are being conservative about horse power outputs
Abarth quote 155 hp but rumors are that outputs may exceed 160 hp in standard trim ?  ;D
I wonder  if there is any truth in this ?

All manufacturers under quote the power output of their engines. The reason for this is if you are sold a car and quoted 155 bhp and then have it tested and it turns out to be 140 bhp you could then sue the manufacturer for there false claims. If they say itss 155 and it turns out to be 160 you are hardly likely to complain.

Indee, but we've got ours on a rolling road next week end.  So we'll see what the SS puts out  ;)

We're planning on doing a dyno test here in Slovenia and I'll report what a standard AGP does. There will be also a guy with a standard T-Jet....I'll let you know...

that could be due to the engine still being new monkey mentioned the fact that he noticed a significant difference in performance between a ss he had just fitted and a ss that he drove which was ran in on another thread

Don't rolling roads vary in accuracy? Won't climate conditions make a difference too?
