Hi all,
Im experiencing a grinding type noise when slowing down. This happens when driving along at about 30mph ish and the car begins to slow (road congestion/animals in the road/chicanes etc). I then dink the accelerator a bit to bring the speed back up and take my foot of the accelerator. Car begin to slow again. At this moment i begin to hear a low grinding noise. If i put the gas on again and then take my foot off the noise returns. I not sure if is happening all the time as I'm not always listen out or have the music pumping. I've tried replicating it and it doesn't seem to happen as far as I can tell when in a higher gear at this speed, or when in neutral and coasting. I had it in at Research Nuneaton 1-2 months ago for something else and mentioned it. They looked it over and said they could hear the noise but couldn't identify what was causing it. I was told to wait until it became more noticeable and bring it back.. I'm not sure if this is an acceptable answer bearing in mind they could hear the noise.. anyway I was hoping someone else may have experienced this also or if they know what could be causing it. (aircon is off by the way).
Thanks
Garreth
