Reason I ask is I keep getting fault lights coming on and the fault code points back to the inlet manifold sensor.  Really want to find the correct sensor code as local dealer is having problems finding out what it should be.

This is the issue i'm having with my Evo, have had to stop using the TMC now. Anyone know how easy it is to change the sensor and where exactly it is located?

On the AGP the TMAP sensor is top left on the inlet manifold.  Dead easy to change, 2 minutes, engine cover off, one electrical connector and one screw.

Not looked under the bonnet of an Evo but if you can identify the inlet manifold then it should be mounted somewhere on the top.  Will have same one electrical connector and one screw (as long as nothing else is in the way). Sure someone with an Evo will confirm or if you can post an underbonnet pic i'll try and point it out to you  :thumb:

So, say for example I had an AGP 155 with TMC that kept limpinging the car... which the faults were the boost and MAP sensors what sensor /should/ I have? (code wise)

limpinging  haha top word  ;D

Right, I presume you are going into limp mode?  Does this fault clear?  If so I doubt there is anything wrong with your sensors, all they do is send information to the ecu.

If you are momentarily exceeding the safe boost limit then the ecu will instigate limp mode.

If you have caused permanent damage to the MAP or TMAP (or if it has simply failed) then you tend to get a variety of fault lights that won't clear.  Running problems vary depending on what information the faulty sensor is sending to the ecu.

The standard MAP sensor is rated up to 2.5 bar so a standard AGP + TMC is well within its design limits.  They do have a limited life though as they live in a pretty hostile enviroment!

Hope this helps  :thumb:

Guys, I know this is an old thread but I hope you can help. The 500 also uses 0261230043 but I'm also getting engine management problems. The fault code always comes up as boost pressure sensor.

Could I upgrade the sensor to 0281002437 ?

Never mind I don't think this will work if it's not got the SS map.
