New Discs and Pads.
« on: September 29, 2011, 12:03:53 PM »
Well the time has come to change my Discs and Pads again.
I've been looking into using Carbotech pads (heard some very good things about these). They were recommended to me by a guy running his 500BHP Evo on them at Blyton so thought i'd give them a shot.

Question is are they the same pads as on the Renault Clio 197/200 front and rear?? I know the fronts are but i'm unsure about the rears.

Also has anyone used different Discs?

Cheers

Looks like the rear is a Fiat/Alfa/Lancia specific part, well that and a 207 RC R3T rally car, couldn't see any other motors compatible.

Shouldn't matter too much, just fit a sport pad to the rear, the front does most of the work, perhaps the carbotech guys will make you a set up?

Another type I have heard of but not used are carbonelorraine, they appear to have front and rear in a number of different compounds, though the image of the rear is very slightly different to the pads offered by ferodo for same vehicle.

New discs arrived on monday morning :thumb: :thumb:
Unfortunately I didn't stretch to any uprated discs this time :thumbd: Was looking at the Tarox discs but maybe next time.
As for the pads, I plumped for the Carbotech pads and these have been finished today for me so should recieve them by monday and have them fitted on tuesday then hopefully :thumb:
Shall update you all with how they act.
