Hey!

This sounds a lot like what I have just gone through with my car, I would be driving along then all of a sudden the hill holder light would come on then the asr error would appear and finally the engine management error would appear, then the car wouldn't pull for love nor money. This would last for a while then the power would come back but the lights would stay on...
I took it to research and they connected the computer to it but it couldn't really tell them a lot, this happened about three times. Finally, I had to nurse it back home from work (45 miles away). I had old boys in their rover's and girls in their corsa's overtaking me (I was on an awesome stretch of the A5 but could only manage 30 mph) it was brutal lol
Research had it for about a week and stripped it down, they said that the main wiring loom was folded in on itself and then rubbing until the connections were exposed. They replaced this and im now on week three without a real problem (hill holder light is infrequently coming on but even that is fading away now I think)
From someone that has been though this before all I can say is the thing that kept me positive through all of this "hey my car is now a true Italian sports car"... seems a silly thing to think but it kept my spirits up when my brand new car was spending more time in the garage then with me!
This is something they will figure out, I have faith in Research, even the mechanics would come out to me and explain what they think is happening, what they have done to the car and what to look out for if anything!
Once its sorted then this will just be "one of those things"... and compared to the face on mr BMW or mr Merc when you out corner them in their 60,000+ cars, or just leave the boy racers at the lights without even trying... a bit of teething trouble is well worth it.
Even with all the troubles, I wouldn't give up mine for anything, its an awesome car, just stick in there and try to keep positive!!!
