I don't know if it applies to phase 1 Abarth the same as Fiat.  My old Grande Punto Sporting was nowhere near as solid or well built as the Abarth is..

I was completely shocked when I got into Carmen.. There was only a 2 year gap between the two (57 vs 59) but it felt like 10

My old phase 1 seemed quite well built, it didn't seem to suffer the problems of some of the later ones which had issues with side skirts peeling off and such like.

Mine's a Phase 1. Definitely.  First black Scorpion in Southern England.  And to this day I haven't spotted many.  46k miles approaching rapidly and the joy of driving the little devil continues.  I am wondering if I shoukld get horns fitted.  Saw a pink mini with eye lashes at the petrol station the other day.  Pink.  Lashes.  Barf.

Hi,

I have an 08 AGP, got it on 1st Aug 08 although did order it a few weeks before from Research in Nuneaton.

Still love it and will never sell it, not used it as much now as have another car as well to stop it getting worn out, less than 40K on the clock so should be fine for years to come.

Best car have had since my alfasud when was about 18.

Missing mine slightly, I wish had the money and space to have kept it as well as the 500.

Well I've kept Scorpi. 47k miles and loving it to bits. Despite the thirst.  Despite the fuel bill. He's got it as have I. We're a team.

Dont forget the press cars would have been kicking around a while before the car was released.

Mine has had Abarth on the tax disc from day one, a traffic warden was trying to give me a ticket one day and couldn't find Abarth on his little machine, before he could do it I got in and drove off. Luckily he didn't spot Fiat etched on the windows which was the only external give away.

Also when I first had it Tesco car insurance had it down as a Golf GTi because they couldn't find the car on their system, thought they'd changed it but when the renewal came through it still said Golf.

Mine had Abarth on the tax disc.

found it!  the original (from 'birth') tax disk, dated 30th June 2008, had abarth handwritten on it and it is stamped 'dealer' so I guess petches wrote it on... the first DVLA one is six months later. J.
