The official press release and photos are out now, and I've put them in the General section since they apply to both 500 and GPA:-

I now have the seats fitted in my new G.P. Esse Esse, I will try to get some piccies of them up next week :thumb:
The seats do have airbags fitted even though I couldn't see where when I saw them in the crate.
The only thing to be aware of is that as these are proper racing seats, there is no height adjust on the drivers seat. The G.P. I have them fitted to has a skydome so that brings the headroom down a little bit anyway.
Danno can fit in and he's 6'1" but be aware that its not how tall you are it's whether you are tall in the body or tall in the leg.

I generally have my height adjuster on the deck anyway.  Would you say that's about the same height the Sabelts are fixed at, or do you suspect they're a little higher than that?

I would suggest that they are perhaps at the midway point of a normal seat adjust.

I like my seat as low as possible, i would have thought that these new "racing" seats would be that low too? They do look lovely though, and i would love them, but the cost is just too high for me.

Got to say that an aweful lot of dealer staff (including the directers) have sat in those seats on Friday and considering that you will be able to sell the current seats in your car on e-bay (bet the FF boys will be crawling all over them) then the expense seems well worth it :thumb:

I wonder how much a set of standard abarth Seats would fetch on ebay...

My guess is £500-£600.
When I got the parts guys to price a standard seat on friday I was told that you couldn't just buy a seat out of the parts department. You would have to buy all the individual parts and assemble them like some sort of "airfix" kit. It worked out to be a lot of money for the 30 odd parts.

I'll be interested to see them in the flesh. From the pics I've seen they don't look any more 'contoured' than the normal leather ones.

I might be wrong about that, but at the price being quoted, there are probably far better seats on the market.

No news on the exhaust yet but the seats will be on view at Stanford Hall next weekend.
Perhaps you could prod Ivan at the meet and see if he has any new info.
