sounds like the errors andrew was getting, replacing MAP sensor fixed his problem. it seems that fault codes and warning lights don't always tally with the actual fault

Same as I've had for 8 months now... Car will random flag up:

ASR unavailable
Hill holder unavailable
Engine Management warning

Will cut the boost so there is none at all.

Asr and hill holder could be a brake pedal switch.

As Lloyd said I've had similar problems. Over a period of time I've had wheel speed & map sensors replaced.

Won't that relate to wheel speed sensors?

Not sure tbh, i've sent an e-mail to the dealership and to Abarth. If they decide to get back to me, great, if not... well i've tried...

Also started legal proceedings now due to unsatisfactory quality of the car.... This is where my effort will be put now... its gonna be a bumpy ride!

Hi guys. My car is now experiencing this fault. No boost from the turbo, feels like I'm driving a 1 litre :-( I can hear the turbo whistling but no power! And the tiny bit of power I do get comes in at 5000 revs?? It's going back to the dealers today aarrhhhhhh. Is this a common problem with agp?

I took it to Platts in Stafford who road tested it and put it on the machine. Both proved negative and it was showing everything fine boost pressures ect ect. They checked all the pipes work and still nothing? So I'm back to square one and thinking what next?  ???

My dealings were all with Platts, Speak to Abarth UK and get them to open a case..

I think I will do as I'm still not happy with the findings if I'm honest! I think it's time to get in touch with abarth. As I don't seem to be getting any joy anywhere else.  :'(

I'll send you over some contacts when I get to work. I really, really hope you get more luck then I've had tho. Even with the 'expert' help from abarth. Platts/Abarth have now been working on this turbo/engine issue for the past 8 months. Still not sure it's fully resolved.

FYI - just a tip. Record everything you can. Save the warranty work sheets and take pics of your car before it goes into the garage, try and get the fault on video, save all emails to abarth. Easier to track. Is your car on finance? As you can make the finance company do allot of the running around for you...

Do you have a TMC box on?

I removed mine, sold it, had car remapped and no longer have problems...

Not saying the TMC box is totally at fault, but i think it was causing the car to just go over the edge...

Abarth spent ALOT of time on my car, replacing MANY,MANY parts and could not fault it in its standard form, I also cannot fault it now with its remapped ECU.

Ben.
