Toyo Proxes T1R's ,done about 9000 miles on them with no signs of wear yet and they grip alot better than the Pirellis on there orignally. Cost about £450 for a set of four.

I had them, they only lasted around 8000 miles though. Weren't that expensive though, they were around £70 each.

I've got bridgstone RE050A's at the moment, front are about due to be changed (possibly after the driver day now)... but, stick with the bridgestones ? or Pirelli? or ??

My Pirelli tyres lasted somewhere near 13000 miles before they needed replacing (one of the guys at Research said someone needed all new tyres after 5000 miles Shocked).

When i needed to replace mine i looked on the forum and decided to go with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric as alot of people were saying that they really liked them. Ive only done 3,500 on them so i cant tell you how long they last compared to the pirelli's but im really impressed with the grip on them, especially in the wet  Thumb Up.

I've not tried Bridgestone RE50's... but if they are anything like the RE40's, I find them too hard a tyre for my liking.  Had the RE40's on a few larger cars & whilst they lasted a long time, I didn't think the grip & feedback was great.

For a road tyre, T1R's are fine but can feel horrible for the 1st 500 miles while they settle down IMO.  After that though, I've found them a decent enough tyre for the price (tried them on previous warm/hot FWD hatchbacks) & have good wet weather performance.
I've also tried Khumo KU31's & Avon ZZ3's... and preferred both of those to the T1R in the dry, so that's where my money would be going before the Toyo.

I drive a GPA.  My tyres, Pirellis Zero Neros,  last around 12.500 miles.  How long do other GPA tyres last?
[/quote]

This is just teh front tyres I assume.  Then ditto - I've just reached 12,750 and I'm on the blocks on the front so new ones for me. I'm looking at teh Bridgestone (050sm I think) or Avons...

My backs (original Zero Neros are in very good nick).
