Had my car in for warranty work for the second time had loads of issues mainly very little problems they managed to sort out the seal around the top of the engine bay and the creaking doors the other day.

They then said it needs to go back in they want to change the brake pads again so it's going onto it's third set, they said this was now the new fix to the squealing brakes but they didn't mention about my wobbly brake pedal or the grinding feeling through the pedal (which is not ABS) I am bit suspicious of that.

Need new suspension mounts, new sideskirt as it's coming away at either end and a new rear side window as I recently noticed the vertical seal on it was misaligned and rubbing with the seal around the front door causing it to tear.It only looks like a seal which probably cost about 50p aswell just seems silly that a new window is needed because it was misaligned, have not heard of anyone else with this issue of a misaligned window seal.

I did also ask for the lane changer to be removed as it is a safety hazard got fed up with people pulling out in front of me because of it. Turns out this can't be removed which I think is stupid but they did say they did make an update and it does seem less responsive.

I'm waiting for side skirts to turn up... Mine were coming apart too. Top mounts have been done. Window seal had gone so had a new window too. Lots of rattles fixed. New instrument cluster has been fitted. Awaiting on new wheel nuts as mine are rusty.... Awesome build quality ;-).

mines had new suspension mounts, new gearbox bearings, new alternator, dash board trim replaced, brake mod twice, fan belt replaced, creaking from rear - door latches modified 3 times. glove box latch faulty...

so not too much 

all ok atm though i did spot the nearside sideskirt at the back was a bit loose when i washed it at the weekend. all looked bolted on ok, had just come abit adift frm the car.

Ive also have the same problem in my AGP.  I too can feel the grinding when braking at low speeds, and as you say its definately not the ABS.  Did they discover what the problem was?

Mine goes through brake pads like they're chocolate - I know I teach in it but it's on it's 3rd set. I had a grinding clutch pedal - don't know if it's same as yours but after a massive battle I got them to sort it under warrenty, turns out the clutch pedal had cracked!
They tried to blame my dual controls which is a load of BS - I complained to Fiat UK which was a total waste of time.

Not been on for awhile so sorry for the late reply just wanted my mind off the car for abit the car goes back in on the 21st.

I have had a few concerns over the brakes with the strange grinding feeling and the brake pedal has quite a sideways wobble aswell but they seemed very vague about the brakes when I went to pick the car up.

I've been trying to keep my mind off the car for abit hence why I've not been on because I did worry that maybe it was similar to the clutch pedal problem and I had lost abit of confidence with the brakes.

But the way they did not give too much information out has had me thinking when the brakes originally went in for the shims and replacement pads that maybe they were not correctly fitted (this was a possible cause of grinding feeling through the brake pedal when I researched it) I don't want to say this is the case because this could be wrong and could be a problem with the actual pedal.

Just had hoped I was given more information.

Are you guys just "lucky" that you are near a dealer?

Considering my "local" dealer is two hours away, how would you get around these sort of issues as you don't want to drive for 4 hours just to fix a small thing, let alone multiple visits to fix real issues?

There isn't a way around it really, I'm the same, had to make multiple trips to my "2 hour away local dealer" when mine went wrong. The worst one was when they told me the car was ready for collection, when i got there, it wasn't, i had to drive back in the crappy car they gave me. I gave up by then and told them they could deliver it to me instead. They did!
