Hi.  I know this is a frequent topic but I can't actually find the answer.........

My AGP Esseesse is coming up to 2 years old and about 4300 miles (yes I know, but I keep using old Pandas for the short trips). 

Last year I had a real battle with Thames to convince them I only wanted an oil change & at a decent price.  I know I need the oil changed for warranty purposes (though I'm tempted to ask for it back to put in something else as it looks like it's just gone in!  ).

Before I go into battle with Thames again, can anyone confirm the minimum work needed to maintain the warranty and how much a dealer should be charging?  Anything else which needs checking/changing at 2 years despite the mileage?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Anyone have ideas on reasonable cost, and also if there are any warranty implications of just having the oil change done? 

I know why brake fluid needs changing (usually 3 years) but that's going to a non-franchised specialist (using correct parts) if the Abarth dealers insist on charging silly money & the Fiat dealers insist that they can't touch the cars on pain of death (or similar).  Pollen filter - well that's not been filtering much in 4k miles.......

Well the 18,000 mile service comes in at around £350 and a basic oil & filter service is £100.

I would personally refuse to pay more than £250 considering its an extra 20 minutes labour and maybe £40 parts..

You will get some laughable quotes when speaking to some mail dealers though!

theres an article about corkills in auto italia this month. their top man says they will price match local independants to keep the servicing business, be worth quoting that when ringing up
