I must admit its the only car that puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. I still get admiring glances even now as you don't see many on the road do you. I'm gonna try and keep her as long as I can and the only reason I may have to part is economy? If it wasn't for fuel prices I would definatley keep her as nothing gives me more joy than pressing that sports button and hearing her roar. Long live abarth I say  ;D

I am doing 25k miles a year in mine, it's about to hit 40k and it's less than 3yrs old!!
What's the point in having a car if you don't plan on driving it??
Just my opinion but with the valuations of them anyway they are already worth very little, so higher mileage won't make enough difference to worry about.

With less AGPs about then I agree that people wont be soooo bothered about mileage, besides they say the arrage is getting higher anyway so again I dont think its so important, of course if it was like the starship Enterprise and had something like 60k+ on a 3yr old car then of course you'd have to drop the price but sadly at the moment its a buyers market

I will just keep mine until it becomes uneconomical to repair then chuck it through the auction sold as seen, i'll have had my monies worth so anything back is a bonus.  Also saves having to worry about caring for it too much, little bumps, scratches and the like don't bother me as long as it keeps running.

Just coming up to 70k in 2.5 years so don't know how long i'll have it for.  I'd like to get 5 years out it but not sure it will still be alive at 140k

Erm, what?  Are you all mad?  What the spark plugs cost?  If you can't afford a car, don't buy one.  Dont' fall down the debt trap.

If you can afford an Abarth, drive it with pride, as it's worth it.  Scorpi comes at a cost.  And I am lucky that I can afford it, and the fun and confidence he inspires me with is worth every blooming penny I spend on him and the fuel and the frigging spark plugs, and the tyres and the brakes and all the stuff.  Cars cost.  No matter if Abarth or not.

100% agree with that

and if you think these cars are expensive to run then you should try and run my 2002 saxo vtr it was costing me £200 a month in repairs alone (not inc tyres ect) and was the same tax band as the punto

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201145427285224/sort/priceasc/usedcars/model/grande_punto_hatchback/make/abarth/postcode/co30ya/quicksearch/true/radius/1501/page/1?logcode=p

FFS, I would not sell Scorpi for 15K, even though that's more than I paid for him new. Are you loyal or just greedy? Scorpi is the ultimate driving machine.  The torque in 6th gear, the growl when accelerating or slowing down.  The road holding.  Unless you have an Abarth, bite me!  If I won the lottery I'd go and buy a red SLS AMG, but even though, I'd keep Scorpi on the road.  He is an Abarth and as such special.  We are special, so please get out of way. Quickly!
