ye exactly thats what im worried about dont want it costing a fortune in the future

hmm, now I faced the same issues as yourself tbh, I could 'cut my losses' and pay more for an alternative car, however, I'm sticking with it, and so far the last round of fixes Abarth/Fiat did, seemed to of fixed the problem.

How much warranty is left on the SS?

The end of the day, its your choice, but the car you bought from the dealers MUST be of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose, if it still have warranty left or not.

Personally, I wouldn't get the Evo, who knows, you could end up with other issues.

I got like this with my 147 GTA, I got shot of it and replaced it with the Alfa GT, despite being essentially the same car when you get down to the nuts and bolts of it, it was the best move I ever made.

The GT is one of the cars I regret selling, with the GTA I was at the point where I would of paid to get shot  

I always wondered if I had finally solved my GTA issues and had let go of what would have been a good'un,  after all it ended up with the 330mm upgrade (warped stock brakes 5 or 6 times in as many months driving to work on country lanes ) and uprated arbs, links plus suspension arms every 2 months, every time I booked a trackday I reckon it got scared, feigned injury and went back to the dealer with its tail between its legs Cracking engine though.

Came up for sale again 2 years later, had only covered another 6k, so it probably wasn't much better for the next owner, was a bit of a risk buying another Alfa but next one was awesome.
