after a morning messing with insurance companies eg direct line and there policy of not sending cover notes out - very helpful
fiat dealer has the 7 day free insurance with Avivia saved the day - so collecting the car at 12.30pm all good
watch out around nuneaton for the latest white with red decals flying down the A444

5 miles back home all good even had time to polish the wheels with rim wax keep the dirt off  glad the golf has gone at last - 2 weeks from order to completion |

We took the free 7 day insurance from our dealer. Aviva also turned out to be the cheapest quote we got, so we changed our insurance to them too. Saved £120 on the Direct Line quote!  |

I wonder if there's some kind of kick back from the dealers from the Aviva thing? I was a bit irritated that no-one from the dealership made it clear to me that I would need proof of insurance to pick up the car so I ended up faffing about getting things faxed through during the post strike. I hadn't really thought that I would need proof because I hadn't got finance but didn't think about getting it taxed.
I'm so old there aint a lot of room for me to get cheaper insurance than Priviledge and I trust them not to give me grief if I have an accident and to actually cover me properly.

what can i say Research Garage Nuneaton (Midlands) sorted me out with a superb white 500 abarth ordered 2 weeks ago and collected today - great service cant fault them - they had 31 in stock think they have a few left so a few miles in im smiling few pics here not yet not allowed a link ( fotki com - ricey ) cars ive owned since 98 normal stuff nothing new white with red decals smiles ahead |

not sure on the kick back but my current insurance Direct Line would not provide a fax copy for cover for me just a letter saying i was insured which wasnt good enough so like i said im glad they helped me out aviva saved the day and ive nearly done 100 miles lol |
