Another Abarth in South Wales
« on: October 06, 2011, 06:59:45 PM »
Bought my wife an Abarth 500 esseesse a couple of weeks ago and if I ever stop smiling, I might let her drive it.

Great car, wonderful to drive on the country roads here east of Newport and up the Wye Valley.

I do get some strange looks though, being in my late sixties and 6'6" tall.

It certainly makes quite a change from our old Merc S600 or Porsche Cayenne motors!

Now, how do we get more power out of that little turbo?

Hi and welcome.
Get yourself a large drink and search for the thread Standard no more, that will give you lots of information regarding more power.

Welcome - certainly a bit different to those luxo-barges you mention!

Easiest way to more power is TMC's box of tricks  :thumb:

See their section under commercial members.

Thanks for the welcome.

It certainly is different from the barges i normally drive.

Went through a few Ferraris in the past so used to quick cars but the Abarth is certainly terrific fun. Nearest car for fun factor I've had in the past was an Integrale. Hope the Abarth is not as fragile though.

welcome:)
Glad to see our south wales members are growing.....even if it is slowly.
It should be written in a contract that all Abarths sold should be registered to Abarthisti.
As said TMC box is the easiest way to more power/fun.

Enjoy.

Welcome. Nice to see another south wales member, more of a chance of eventually being spotted one day

As well as the Wye Valley my fave road is from Usk to Chepstow. Mostly resurfaced and lots of curves. Watch out for bikers though, quite a few have died on this road recently.

Did the Wye valley run from Chepstow to Monmouth twice yesterday, once in the Cayenne Turbo, once in the Abarth; no contest!!
