To be honest both are great cars... I found the AGPSS more fun to drive easy to live with and it still stands out from the rest of the cars on the road... The A500 was very stylish could put it anywhere and it looked amazing and sounded amazing and was alot of fun when you got to opened it up... I was very lucky had all of them as a demo at some point... Either way both will be a great purchase... Best of luck and enjoy making your mind up...
Cheers John

Cheers Dudes, Had a A4 but now have a grande punto at the moment so would find it hard to loose even more space. Will be doing 70 miles a day to work and back so need a half decent motorway ride. Will be testing them both soon so will let you know. Warming towards the GPA with a ss exhaust . Also are any of you guys havng any 'fiat' problems after having driven your cars for a few thousand miles? Chris

They're both great cars. I found the GPA a lot more comfortable to drive and the chassis feels a lot more planted than the A500. Having said that, the A500 is a lot cheaper on petrol, has that exhaust note and always puts a smile on your face! If I could, I'd have them both

IF your travelling 70 miles a day on the motorway then l'd say the AGP. I do about 60 and its a good motorway car. Getting about 37 mpg on my journey

yeah and they cost more to add to insult.
So a short summary
A500 small fun to drive impractical dodgem no glove box no cruise control bit wobbly in the bends over priced.
AGP medium also fun to drive (3 points to prove it) could do with a slightly bigger boot but still far bigger than the 500's more gadgets and in my opinion the price is just right also far better looking than the 500.
Both have pros and cons but in my opinion its a bit of a no brainer get the AGP

Wait a mo - the 500 does have a glovebox. It's sort of secret, and might just take some Abarth driving gloves (good job they're fingerless).

Correction - was a secret. Guys, you're all saying how good the AGP is, just look at the sales figures again please! EDIT: Here they are: Jan 2010 GPA's sold = 2 A500's sold = 66

No Stevey, looking at those numbers, it appears that GPA's are about as desirable (and fashionable) as tertiary syphilis
