Happy new year from Essex!
« on: January 02, 2012, 08:57:50 PM »
Hi guys, happy new year! finally took delivery of a brand new a500 about two weeks ago now..... and loving it! never owned a brand new car before, have been driving around with a permanent smile on my face over christmas!.
First test drove one about 6 months ago but after trying many different cars and many arguments with the missus later, I'm glad to say I went with the abarth!.
Went for the funk white colour with red stripes and red wing mirrors, skydome, climate control, xenon lights, black leather interior with red stitching. Really wanted to go for the esseesse version but couldn't get the gf onboard  :( I presume a dealership will retro fit the kit without to much hassle?
Haven't seen many in my area (being chelmsford) apart from another white one I saw parked up today.
Due to the amount of alcohol I've consumed over christmas I haven't driven it as much as I'd of liked too, only covered about 600 miles, was wondering how long you guys waited before really giving it the beans I've heard so many different things about running in new cars its difficult to know what to believe.

Any help or advise would be much appreciated!
Thanks Joe

Andrew

Glad you love your new purchase  :thumb:

The SS kit can be fitted on cars up to 1 year old / 12,000 miles from first registration - so there's time yet  ;D

Welcome! I am in Chelmsford and have a Bossa Nova white A500 with Petals, Skydome and no stickers. I work in the Moulsham Street area so could have been mine you saw but there are some others about. I will keep an eye out for you!
