Hey All,

Decided to join the forum as I saw a review for the Abarth cars in one of last Sunday's national paper and they really caught my eye.  I have decided to go and test drive the weekend of the 18-19th July.  At the moment I drive a Mitsubishi Evo X but £445 road tax a year and £500+ for tyres is starting to get to me.  Along with super fuel prices.  Some of you may be saying well you should of known this before you bought it but hey ho thats life.  It may be a come down in terms of speed and handling but i am willing to sacrifice this as i have my bike for that.  The Abarth GP Esseesse looks awesome, in some respects more of a rally car than mine.  Well thats me and my dilemma at the moment, any thoughts?

The Abarth GP Esseesse looks awesome

Wotcha. Wave

If you want a GP, you'd better be a quick.  Only a very small number left (three or four, if that) as it's being replaced this month by the Abarth Punto Evo.

Enjoy.

Hi kobra547

I thought the same about my Bike when I brought my 500ss, but I have not been on her for 6 months thus sold her last month. Strange thing is I’m not missing the Bike at all.

Admittedly I am keen on the idea of a Husqvarna SM.

Any how – Welcome.

hi and welcome, i swapped my old corsa vxr for my 500 abarth and haven't missed the corsa 1 bit, i know i haven't dropped much power wise compared to you with your evo but i'm sure when you decide and take the plunge you won't be upset!   Thumb Up

Hi mate.  I used to have a Prodrive RX8... same deal with the road tax, since it was registered post 2006.... and back when it was £1 a litre, £60 in the tank would get 200-240 miles ... so I can appreciate why you are considering changing.
I've not driven the AGP, but if puts as much of a smile on your face as the Abarth 500 does, then it's not a bad 'compromise' Smiley

I looked at the RX-8, Ford RS, audi A3 Sport & the golf GTI! And you know what they are all pretty common motors out on those UK roads; these AGP SS are like rockin horse s**t! Not many around & just as much fun, if not more so!!! Go for it!!! Drive safe  Thumb Up MB
