On way down to see friends in Kenilworth the other week called into Research Garage, Nuneaton, & ended up making a 2nd visit same day with deposit on a red ex-works (Press/Staff) A500 some 20mths old & 4000 miles. Still getting to grips with it as I'm not used to small hatches.
Gonna be fun !
Are there any other Abarthisti in the general Nottingham area ?  Saw a white one near Southwell the other day. Perhaps arrange informal meet once a month or so ?
Drive safely, y'all !!

........ and another! Casual trip to the dealer "just to look" ends up with a more or less immediate purchase. Just how many of us on here did that? and what other brand has that effect on everyone?

Anyway, welcome!

I'm further south west than you, as part of the Bristol contingent, but roam far an wide both for work and for various events, so I am sure your red car will get to meet my red one before too long!

I went to research abarth just for a look and then a car transporter pulled up with brand new abarths. Then next thing i knew was my future car rolloing off the back of the transporter and the sales guy saying you want that car dont you! Then a month later im owning the car!Moral of the story, dont go and look at an abarth if you dont intend on buying, because as soon as you see one you fall in love and the rest will be history.  Fighting

Thanks for your replies. Looks as if Abarthisti are few & far between here in the East Midlands, eh, Fiona ? Wish you well with your GPSS.
Yes, visiting an Abarth dealer on spec can be harmful to the wallet - perhaps the dealers should sport a relevant 'Health Warning' in their ads !!
As it happened I was keeping a cursory lookout for one but had no intention of buying there'n'then.
Drive safely !!

Welcome to this forum, I'm in the 'other' Midlands.  Wave

My dealer Research has been good so far, and my new A500C should be with them sometime this month. Collection day is earmakred for late September or early October.

I saw it make its debut at the Geneva Show and I knew it was going to be my next car. I put down a deposit at the dealer a few days after returning from Geneva. At that time, prices were TBA but I just had to get it sooner than later!

Hi and welcome,

I'm in Codnor just out of Nottingham on the A610, would be nice to spot another Abarth in the area.
