After coming back from our 2 week holiday I decided to book a test drive of an Abarth 500. We were certainly impressed and 2-3 hours later we left the dealer having just ordered one, although it was only supposed to be a test drive. Now the wait begins before we get it in 8-10 weeks time.

I just wondered if anybody has had the alarm option from the dealer and what people think? Is the immobiliser good enough?

Great forum by the way.

Any thoughts on the alarm

can;t see the point, car can't be taken without the keys. won,t stop a smash and grab.

if its going to be broken into your safer finding out in the morning than getting into a confrontation with a nutter when the alarm goes off Thumb Up

Fair points. Just the waiting now that is going to be the hardest.

Are there many who have the Pasadoble Red?

Now you see why we recommend holding off the test drive for those who have to do things like line up finances  Grin

Never mind the test drive, I only went for a look. Test drive just the icing on the cake. It's a long wait but enjoy  Thumb Up

As for the alarm if you here one going off at night you can go back to sleep safe in the knowledge that you know it's not yours.  Smiley

Welcome, I did the same myself, glad I did though!

I have a Pasadoble Red and luckily my dealer had one in stock so I only had to wait a week.
