 :thumb: Good choice :thumb:

We are replacing our megane R26 230 with a Abarth 500 & I will be taking it to the nurburgring no problem.

The 500 has the spirit of the old 5 gt turbo in my eyes a proper pocket rocket  :thumb:

I applaude your honesty!

Impossible to compare really but actually you're right - which is why I've test driven everything under the sun to find a worthy replacment and I think I've done it.

I'm currently trying to find the cash to make them stable mates which will solve my dilema anyway.....and I can't wait for the A500 to arrive!

I think you are making the right descission  :thumb: I had frequent use of both the early and facelifted S2000's over many years and with titanium exhausts they made a fantastic sound, the engine is great as is the gear change and the steering was good too! But what always made me nervous, especially in the early one was the back end, it just felt loose.. like the chassis was twisting.. under hard cornering, the facelifted one was much better, more like a boxster, but still didnt fill me with confidence.

I swapped my last porsche for a mini and people thought i was mad, but by comparrison the mini had character, felt alive.. and although not as fast it was more fun to drive  ;D And now the minis made way for a 500ss and by comparisson the mini feels like a tractor pulling a plough through a field.. no joke ..its a heavy cumbersome shed. Small light cars are just more fun, especially driving in cities! Abarth 500 is so much fun and with the cool interior in the 500 youll be having just as much fun sitting in it as walking round it  :thumb:

Totally agree!  ;D :thumb:

I think most people on here who bought an A500 had a short list of just one car, if the A500 didn't exist I just wouldn't have bought any car at all

Been at a Goodwood track day on Saturday - my A500 ss attracted much interest and comment from others (with more expensive cars). Chased down an Audi R8 who then wanted to know were he could buy one!! (I did have the TMC box engaged). Much fun had all day - drove home smiling  :)
