Dont forget, a car is a mechanical device put together by machines, or machines controlled by humans, so " to err is to be human" (sic)

So, go with your heart, yes the A500 has faults, both in design and execution, although I  haven't really found them :thumb:

OK so the rear brakes might squeal, curable, so the wheels are apparently according to some made of soap ??? change them, so the suspension can be improved, but then so can most cars, etc etc yaddah yaddah

Bottom line is that most of us here think that the A500 is an utterly fantastic little car, full of attitude and will give you so much fun. It is a terrier shagging the leg of something bigger, " I've got my teeth into you and guess what, I'm not letting go"

So there we go, I've made your mind up for you :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Apart from the roof you will be delighted with the 500. They share the same sort of soul.
I loved my red Mk 2 T-reg. Had a supercharger and more aftermarket chrome trim than I'm proud to admit. My second favoritist car. Happy days. *remembers Laura Anderson*
