I am a member over on RS246 as i have an RS4 and i have been looking to replace my daily drive as the RS is taking a beating with the amount of miles i do. I currently have a Polo that the wife drives that i am looking to change.

She is taking the Audi and i need something to give me reasonable mpg and fun to drive.

Looked at the cooper s and the clio rs but neither really took my fancy.

Then drove passed a Abath garage the other day and saw a little white 500 on the forecourt. Whent in and to my surprise the sales guy gave me the keys and said just bring it back in the hour.

Well i was surprised at the trust and quickly headed off down the road before he changed his mind.... i was shocked as soon as i got in to how big it felt inside for such a small car. The chunky stearing well felt great and the little roar as i started it put a smile straight on my face.

Long story short i loved it and didn’t want to give it back ! Unfortunately they could not do the deal on my part exchange that i wanted so i am now back in the market to find one. I know what i want on the outside, White, 17" petal alloys and no stickers ( sorry if that offends anyone ) but its on the inside i am not sure i should be looking for.

Climate would be good
Leather i only really want in black or the standard cloth.
Blue and me ... is it worth it ? Is the voice control any good ?

Anything else that’s a must ?

And where is it serviced for dealer history.. Fiat ?

Any help on my search would be much appreciated thanks

Having picked mine up on Friday and still smiling you won't regret the Abarth! I wasnt initially going for leather or climate but ended up with it and wouldnt have anything else now it looks stunning and adds a quality feel to the interior. Blue and me is standard.

My understanding is servicing can be carried out by any vat registered garage for warranty although you may wish to take it to an Abarth dealer.

Coming from the RS4 have you considered the SS kit?

I am keeping the RS4 as the A500 will be my daily. I am sure the ss kit may come into it at a later date but for now i have my eye on mpg. Stupid i know with my current 15mpg that i am getting but thats the exact reason.

Does the SS effect mpg much ?

servicing can be any vat registerd garage to MAINTAIN the warranty but only Abarth dealers can carry out warranty work. not even fiat can do that. Abarth for service is the best bet though  as they are familiar with the cars

What are the service intervals ? 10,000 miles ?

Take a look in the members cars section to get an idea about "stuff"
Climate is good but not really needed, i have black lthr and love it and my personal option of the skydome roof is worth every penny.
Would recommend the konis and Monza ( but we all think our children are beautiful)

Well it's all ordered and pick up is Thursday.

Went for a new one in the end due to a great deal from Ben at westover sports cars.

Standard spec but all white and 17" 10 spokes.

Already ordered carbon wing mirrors as I'm going to keep subtle.

Question if I may on lowering... I've read loads of things about people losing teeth with the ss set up but it defo needs to go down a little. Is the ride effected much by just changing the springs ?

Also have I read right that the blue and me does not work with a Tom Tom ? I know I will have the new software to work with the iPhone rather than an adaptor but have they sorted out the nav ?
