Have you thought of putting on F500 steel wheels they can then mount the kerb and you will not cringe as much?

Didn't know about them - fab tip thanks - my alloys are totally trashed, I don't even flinch anymore. I had them refurbed on the insurance when it got nicked last year  Thumb Down(thankfully I got her back unharmed Thumb Up) but they're looking pretty bad again now. I really do not know how they do it but they do!
Thinking I'll just keep them as they're already ruined then when she retires in about 18 months I plan to keep her, get her all nice and re-sprayed, new alloys, and re-mapped.
The question will be do I get another for teaching or downgrade to a straight 500?
Who am I kidding there's no going back..........

Yes.  I'd also be interested as to how your car got nicked - mine parked outside on a short drive so would like some ideas as to how to prevent theft. + Steel wheels seem a good idea, I'm thinking along those lines for a carriable spare.
Cheers

ah well.... we had a Seat Leon Cupra - the police think they came for that and mine was a bonus.

They snapped the lock in the front door and took the keys for both cars and therefore the cars, laptops and anything else they could grab.
The keys were not left out but they clearly knew what they were doing.
Luckily my car starting woke me - gotta love that exhaust note!
I opened my curtains to see my lovely car driving down the road... not good. Rang the police, who were brilliant.
The Leon has never been seen since but has now been replaced with a Audi TTS (just been remapped) and mine was found just down the road. The police think they would have come back for it as they had kept the keys, although clearly not intelligent - they left my instructor top box on sooooooooo fairly easy to spot!

Police know who did it but can't prove it, after fingerprinting it and getting new keys - dealer was great I have to say they even got all the finger print dust off it , I got my car back.

SO advice is get antisnap locks, shash jammers and NEVER EVER EVER leave your keys anywhere - mine now live by my bed every night.
We now have an alarm and better security, police advice is make it look hard, outside lighting etc
Make your house look harder to get into than anyone elses, if they really want your car they will come and get it at which point hand over the keys - thats what insurance is for.
At the moment it isn't on the high target list, they go for Audi's, Leons, Golfs - all high end sports versions.

Hope that helps, you can also get some good solar barrier posts for your drive if you want.
