New to an Abarth Dealership
« on: October 29, 2010, 08:21:43 PM »
Hi everyone,
Just thought I'd post a note about myself on here this evening. I'm Carlo and have recently started at a dealership selling these stunning cars. I'm trying to get up to speed as quickly as possible and reckon that with your help I can be a better advisor to people who really understand Abarth.
Obviously my name is Italian, and probably like most Italians have a massive pride in all automobiles from Italy. I get very defensive when people criticise Italy and their cars, just because their friends say so. I hate ignorance in people, hence why I'm going to be reading this forum avidly.
Anyway, thats the introduction over, thanks again. :)

i'd assumed it was bristol, but on 2nd thoughts i'm not sure ;)

anyhow, good to see dealers taking an interest. from reading this forum you will have seen that your customers are a well informed and enthusiastic bunch.

from experience the dealers can make a big impression by presenting the cars properly, take care with your PDIs and remember the customer is expecting something a little bit special

hope you enjoy selling the cars as much as we enjoy owning them :thumb:

Suppose it doesn't matter too much, the lucky man gets to work with these cars daily!

Hi again,
I'm sorry I didn't mention the dealership, wasn't sure if that was allowed or not. I am with Glyn Hopkin in Romford and am learning about these fabulous cars under the tutelage of Claire, which having looked on another link within the forum some of you have had the pleasure of meeting.
I started at the dealership at the end of September and have spent many an hour talking to Claire about Abarths. The dealership has also recently taken on the Alfa Romeo range and she is the principal advisor on both these brands. Every opportunity I have, I will take an Abarth either to be valeted or to the workshops for pre delivery inspection, everyone laughs at me but then I have Agip running through my veins.
On Monday, our manager, to whom both Claire and all sales advisors report to, asked me if I wanted to move from my initial position of Fiat sales advisor to advising on the Abarth range and Alfa Romeo. I feel very priviledged to have been chosen after such a short period in car sales. I hope that the reason is because of my enthusiam  and obvious love of these cars, but I am certain the main reason is because I have a great friendship with Claire.

If you happen to visit the dealership, please have patience with me, learning about all the specs is daunting but I will endeavour to make your visit as magical as possible and if people leave comments about me as they have done for Claire, I will feel honoured.

As an aside, today I sold my first Abarth. A gorgeous black 500. Claire had referred a customer to me who was looking to part exchange her Punto Sporting to a 500 Abarth. A wonderful customer with her partner and son. She'll be picking it up next Friday. Claire, sadly was on a day off today, but I can't wait to tell her.
The look of excitement on their faces as they signed all paperwork... well you guys all know what thats like.

Thankyou for your welcome.
Carlo

P.S: Grazie Pootle, e anche a me e un piacere. Translated, thankyou Pootle, and its a pleasure to meet you also.

Hey Carlo

Can I congratulate you for an excellent service you provided me when at the dealership, truly fantastic, thank you. I would like to say thanks also to Claire who really knows her stuff and Glyn Hopkin Romford in being such a great dealership. I recommend this Abarth dealership. Hi Carlo,
Nothing like a bit of enthusiasm when dealing with this particular brand! :thumb:
Are you anything to do with the retaurant chain?
My Abarth Punto Evo is inscribed,
With white Abarth Stripes on either side,
Black Sky Dome Roof above my head,
With Claw wheels....It's Velocity Red!
