Newbie!
« on: February 22, 2012, 07:52:29 PM »
Hi all,
My name is Roy, I come from Runcorn in Cheshire. To be perfectly honest with you all up to 3 weeks ago I have always been a Alfa Romeo person, having had 147's the GT and up to 3 weeks ago the Brera 2.2. But now things have changed. It all began when my Brera had to go into the garage because of a timing chain problem, they gave me a hire car which was the fiat 500 (1.2 I think) well any way I thought the little car was absalutely brilliant, just like a little go cart!. When I took the car back to the garage after 3 days they asked me what I thought of the 500. Not really knowing anything about the fiat range I said superb, great little car and if they made one with a bit more power, I would swop the Brera tomorrow!............................... and thats where it all happened they actually had in the show room the 500 Abarth, took it on a test run and WOWEEEEEEEEEEEEEE got back to the garage, and the deal was done. I always knew the Brera was a head turner, but this little car is way beyond that, Yes it doe's turn heads and yes it will beat a lot bigger off the traffic lights, and corners, and bends, it is a joy to drive. Well thats my story, thanks for inviteing me into your forum.
Roy.

Hi again all, thanks for your comments. I went for the Abarth 135 bhp in white, its got the red and green stripes down the sides, red stripes accross the bonnet and onto the roof then mingles into chequers. It also has the esseesse stripes on with the 17'' dark wheels, (I thought the previous owner would have had the engine upgraded!!!) never mind, but I am very happy with it.
Roy.
