Non owner from N.Ireland
« on: October 25, 2010, 01:10:54 PM »
Hi everyone   As per title i dont actually own an Abarth yet but i will do when either prices come down a little, or my bank balance goes up!  ::) so if you want to donate to the fund, feel free  ;)

Im currently driving a Colorado red 07 Fiesta ST. It certainly is a nice car,  but its no a500 :D

It feels like im constantly looking through the autotrader website, just spec'ing my dream car haha. Now ive found Abarthisti, im like a kid in a candy shop.

As i live in Northern Ireland, there are no Abarth dealers, so finding out information about them and even seeing one is a pain and a rare sight.... which is why i joined  here :)

I have emailed the Abarth dealer in Newcastle asking for the a500 literature, but they dont seem to be sending me one. If anyone would be pleasant enough to send me one over (obviously i will pay postage) i would really really appreciate it.

thats it haha  Mikey

Welcome!

I wouldn't get too excited about the brochure, as it is not exactly extensive........ and having read time and time again about how these cars are bought, it's not hard to see why. The tale usually starts along the lines of: "so, I just went into the dealer to have a look, and I ended up testing one, and I so loved it, I bought a car that afternoon............. and then had to wait for an eternity to take delivery. Now I have got it, it is wonderful, everything I hoped for and more .........." And yes, that was me (among others!).

You don't really need brochures for that!

It is a bit of a @@@@@-er that there is no dealer for you in Northern Ireland, to be sure.

i know, ive seen the 'brochure' or page on the internet, but i like to have something physical to read and look at. You may call it simple mindedness (correct spelling?) lol

I think 'rare' is an understatement. Ive seen about 3 over here, and 2 in Bangor. Dont know if you know it Davy, reg ends in 5000?  However when i was in Barcelona during the summer, i literally saw 5 in half an hour, around the streets.

I wouldnt mind if everyone in N.I owned one, as long as i have one.............o.k maybe i would lol :thumb:

Ive seen 2 in Bangor , one like mine with red stripes another with black, only ever seen them once , so hoping they where day trippers.  Mines a Scottish reg 09 plate.  Seen a 500c Abarth that lives out by Rockport school driven by an orange faced, blond haired dolly bird.  Doubt she'll be on here though, probably having her nails done as we speak. ;D

I think the one with black stripes is the one that ends in 5000. Its from Bangor. Dont think the black stripes do it any justice tbh. Theres a black esseesse here aswell, no stripes, with sunroof. Saw it travelling to belfast one day.
