I bought the induction hose direct from Forge, and at first I thought it'd just be for show but Im quite sure it made a slight increase in the car holding its boost but then it could All be in my head lol

All the covers are on Darons site, see below:
http://www.tmcmotorsport.com/Abarth_Engine.aspx

you got a link to the hose as looked on the forgemotorsport website and just comes up with the induction kit. I would love a red one

Just looked and although they still list the item its shown as 'Call for more info' which means it could be specail order only or with options that cant be listed, bedt contact them.

can i just check something about the induction hose. I have ordered a red one via TMC and he said i need 2 of the tighteneing silver things which i have 2 spacer of at home but what about the other little pipes which i can see to the left in the pics. Do i need new ones for this as well or do you use whats already on the car?

The tightening silver things are hoseclips  ;D You can buy the smaller ones from Halfords or any auto store but they won't pop off as the plastic they attach to is ribbed and this is the induction hose so has suction not pressure. Cheers  :thumb:

so does this mean i do need some smaller ones (as i carnt use the ones already on the car) as well as the 2 x larger hoseclips?

Sorry for all the questions but wanna make sure i get it all right.

No you don't need them but you can put them on if you feel more comfortable having them.

One thing Ill say about fitting the induction hose is...

Take your time and work out which end you want to get in first mine was abit tight and I had to take a second go at it as I got it on once then couldnt get the other end connected lol

I think I done a thread about it, so if you search 'Forge induction hose' and search by my user name you should find it. Also before you fit the new item check ifits got a little nick/groove cutout on the turbo end as the Forge one didnt and I couldnt be bothered to take it off for a third time lol theres a little stud on the turbo which Im guessin stops the hose from twisting round, dont worry it'll all make sense when you take the factory elbow off :thumb:

cheers for the info and read your thraed about it, i was hoping for a quick and easy fit lol but thats never the case with changing bits on cars, it sounds like its better to connect the smaller ones first then the ends. Like you said it should all make sense when i have it in my hand.

So the pipe on the original airbox has some sealant on it? hmm so did you just keep tugging till it came off?

then bit of lubricant to the new hose to help get it on

Yeah, to be honest I wasnt expecting it to put up the kinda fight it did lol

But well worth doing as looks good and I thought I noticed a slight improvement in holding boost, could be in my head tho lol

Post some pics n your thoughts once fitted :thumb:

I think I:
Loosened all the metal clips
Removed all the smaller breather hoses
I think I had to leaver the factory elbow off the airbox with a flatbladed screwdriver to break the seal, think the turbo end came off with a strong tug

Refitting:
Sit the elbow in place, use some washing up liquid to lube up both ends of the elbow, then try the airbox end first but dont push all the way on then try the turbo end.

Dont forget to put your clips on the hose first before fitting, the leave the breather pipes to last.

Just take your time and look at it logically and accept it might take longer than 5mins and your be fine :thumb:
