No. You simply use longer wheel bolts on a 500 which bolt through the wheel, spacer, brake disc and hub.

Ah so its different to my other cars, you just take the nuts off the wheel leaving the screw bits still in place, with these do the wheels screw straight onto the where the brakes are. Doesn't sound as safe tho

Surely that would be safer? Only a single set of bolts to tighten, less chance of a bolt coming undone or failing ???

Sometimes the simplest solutions are the most effective ;D

Back on topic, longer bolts will have less unsprung weight than an additional set of bolts. There is no safety compromise.

Well, as he is about to add some spaces, unsprung weight will not be the main concern I guess ;D
